Quality Community Schools Development Group (QCSD)

Participation Vision: To conduct a listening campaign with throughout the Oakland school community, as well as to conduct research and enlist the support of a Technical Assistance Team, in order to develop standards for school quality.

The QCSD team, in partnership with community-based organizations and District leadership, is conducting listening campaign activities in the fall, as well as school visits to research existing quality standards.

In the spring, QCSD will enlist the support of members of the Oakland school community that have experience or expertise in various fields to serve as a Technical Assistance Team, to assist in refining and contextualizing standards for school quality that will be further vetted through a series of engagement activities within the community.

Participants will be solicited through Orientation events beginning November 1, 2010. To submit an interest form, attend an orientation event or contact David Montes de Oca directly.
