AA Oral History Project
AAMA & Story Bridges have partnered to produce the AA Oral History Project. This program will train 8 - 12 OUSD secondary students to interview other AA students across the district to highlight their voice.
Typically the media defines AA males in narrow perspectives, perpetuating unheathly behaviors. This project will shed light on the full spectrum of stories about AA males in and around Oakland. These youth will tell their story, interview others and create a narrative counter to the mass media.
Special Thanks to our partner Dewey High School, who is dedicating to providing an education experience for youth that equips them with skills for college and career.
